Why has the Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) placed Measure V on the ballot?

Answer

Las Virgenes Unified schools provide exceptional education for all students in our community. Most of our schools were built in the 1960s and 1970s and have reached a critical point in their life cycle requiring significant improvements that the State of California will not fund. The District has prioritized the most pressing, unmet needs our schools face through a community input and Facilities Master Planning (FMP) process. Excellent public schools are vital for our families, community, local economy, and property values. Measure V will help address our most time-sensitive safety, security, and educational facility needs to help ensure student success in college, career, and life. Vote YES on V to maintain high-quality schools that make Las Virgenes a destination school district.
