What is Measure V?

Answer

The Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD), serving Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Bell Canyon, and Hidden Hills, provides an exceptional education for all students in our community from elementary through high school. Measure V is a local school bond measure on the March 3, 2020 ballot seeking voter authorization to address the most pressing, unmet needs our LOCAL schools face - especially our most time-sensitive safety, security, and educational facility NEEDS. Most schools were built in the 1960s and 1970s and have reached a critical point in their life cycle requiring significant improvements that the State of California will not fund. The District has prioritized the most pressing facilities needs in a detailed stakeholder and community input process. All voters living within the jurisdiction of the LVUSD are eligible to vote on Measure V.
